General Contracting Partners

11500 Northlake Dr. Suite #100, Cincinnati, OH 45249

General Contracting Partners provides its clients with a full range of general contracting services, and specializes in interior commercial finishes and construction projects. It has worked on several office, industrial, and retail clients and has a consistent track record of completing projects both on time and on budget. At the firm’s helm is Larry May, a builder with over three decades of construction and management experience. Prior to joining the firm, he worked for two firms in Indiana and Ohio, and served as president for his own construction company. Under his leadership, the firm has secured a solid reputation for itself for its stellar services and has even had its work featured in the Dayton Business Journal.

The following project was an improvement completed for the Marriott Courtyard. General Contracting Partners was tasked with renovating its first floor. This entailed remodeling its reception and public seating area, in addition to working on improvements for its fitness center and a meeting room.

Humble Construction

3441 Morse Rd., Columbus, OH 43231

Established in 1946, Humble Construction caters to both the private and public markets and is known for its general contracting, as well as several of its unique in-house services. It has a division solely dedicated to renovation projects and offers re-roofing systems, mezzanines, building additions, and interior remodels. The firm also utilizes a design-build approach. Through this method, the entire process is kept under one roof, from preliminary drafting all the way to construction, which saves clients both time and additional costs as compared to the traditional design-bid-build approach. Humble Construction also infuses sustainability efforts into all of its work and looks beyond the use of recycled materials. It views the practice as a part of its very foundations and uses only the latest technology to achieve maximum sustainability. Further, every detail of its process—from paper-free transactions to highly adaptable designs—contributes to an overall eco-friendly building and renovation approach.

The firm also provides what it calls “High Performance” buildings, often called “value engineering” by most companies in the industry. This means to say that its team takes extra steps in order to understand a client’s business to provide whatever special needs a project may need in the long run. Instead of constructing a traditional steel building for an addition project, for example, the Humble team would advise using a precast concrete instead for longer durability.

Focusing more on its tenant improvements, it is an expert in large-scale remodels and has worked on numerous tenant build-outs, workflow improvements, and office expansions and modernizations. Its team works closely with each of its clients to better preserve existing structures while still constructing an entirely new space. As showcased by its portfolio, the Brexton team utilizes only high-quality materials and emphasizes the importance of a service-oriented approach.

Further, the firm’s process also entails a detailed pre-development phase, with a project executive assigned to each of its on-going work to oversee it from start to finish.  Given this extensive background and experience, the firm has had the privilege of working with several noteworthy clients, including FedEx and the Federal Aviation Administration. The following project was a 6,000-square-foot improvement for Insight Global. It was completed in partnership with Nationwide Real Estate/Development.
