Los Angeles, the second largest city in the United States, is the American home of fame and fortune. The city’s vibrant economy, star-studded culture, and sunny weather attract hopeful transplants with dreams. Now, more than ever before, homes are being built, rebuilt, and remodeled to suit the individual necessities and desires of each Angeleno.
The following companies are considered the top residential general contractors in Los Angeles. The selection is divided into two parts. The first half categorizes contractors by the value of their clientele’s properties. Three subcategories are formed here: More than $6 Million; $2 to $6 Million; and Less than $2 Million. The second half consists of a list of top contractors in each of the top 10 neighborhoods in Los Angeles.
To build the lists we looked into government building permit data, customer reviews, awards and accolades, accreditations and memberships, media features and coverage, company profiles and work history, and the project aesthetics of hundreds of residential general contractors in Los Angeles. For each of the criteria, we have assigned at least one metric on which general contractors could be compared and ranked. For example, a contractor can be considered a bit better, if despite being relatively young, it has already earned a number of awards. All seven major factors were scrutinized to determine which contractors should be included in the lists.
Now let’s look into the best general contractors in Los Angeles!
