According to a recent survey commissioned by the Association of University Directors of Estates, 67 percent of student-responders see facilities as a critical factor in their choice of college. Keep in mind that only 47 percent agreed that they would enroll in a university solely because of its reputation. The results of the report simply highlight what many university administrators are already keenly aware of:  the importance of building and rebuilding technologically-updated and student-centered educational institutions. The report cements the value of change and innovation as universities create ideal spaces for learning. Transformation and renewal, however, involve meticulous planning especially when it comes to the construction of sustainable, durable facilities that will support and respond to the growing, constantly changing demands of campus modernization.

And if you are a university administrator, and you already know much of this, then you will also know that this is where the top higher education general contractors come in.

We have come up with the list you need, and we’ve found the perfect firm operating out of each state. These firms are literally building the shape of American higher education by introducing technology, sustainability, and genius engineering. These companies were chosen based on their decades of experience, notable works, service coverage, industry-related milestones, affiliations, and professional accolades. You’ll want to read about the firm in your home state, of course, but you might want to read about firms in adjacent states as well as you search for the firm that will be the best fit for your university.

If you are thinking about building a university campus, we recommend checking each builder’s license with the local licensing board, speaking to past clients, and using our bidding system to get competitive quotes from at least 3 contractors. Getting multiple bids is the best way to ensure you get a fair price and that bids include the complete scope of work.

Get Bids For Your Build

If you are thinking about building a university campus, we recommend checking each builder’s license with the local licensing board, speaking to past clients, and using our bidding system to get competitive quotes from at least 3 contractors. Getting multiple bids is the best way to ensure you get a fair price and that bids include the complete scope of work.
