DPR Construction

945 Front St. San Francisco, CA 94111

DPR Construction exists to “build great things.” Operating in Sacramento since 1990, DPR is a self-performing contractor focused on highly complex and technical projects. The firm’s core markets include advanced technology, commercial, healthcare, higher education, and life sciences. From small tenant improvements to large-scale multi-million-dollar complexes, DPR focuses on fulfilling customer needs and providing the highest possible value.

Built by DPR for the City of Roseville, 316 Vernon Street is a four-story, 82,000-square-foot, multi-use, multi-tenant office complex. In creating this project, the firm used target value design and design-assist approaches. Though the building was initially intended to be made of structural steel, the firm used a structural precast instead, as it was found to offer more resilience. In addition, a structural precast was adopted to maximize occupant versatility, since it required fewer columns. The building’s frame serves as both its structural support and architectural veneer. Such innovation allowed for a total construction timetable of 14 months. The impressive work done on 316 Vernon Street was awarded with the 2017 American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE) Outstanding Sustainable Engineering Project of the Year award.
