With more than a century’s worth of experience, Turner Construction is a force to reckon in the building industry. The firm has been serving diverse market segments in North America, earning numerous awards and recognition mainly for its large, complex construction projects. It has worked for and on some of the biggest names and landmarks in distinct sectors such as cultural and entertainment, aviation and transportation, sports, data centers, pharmaceutical, and hospitality. The firm approaches each project with an emphasis on collaboration, reliable scheduling, and efficient and value-added delivery. The 27-story, 300,000-square-foot high-performance multifamily residential tower is the first multifamily residential building in the U.S. to achieve a LEED Platinum certification.

Among the building’s many eco-friendly and sustainable features is an HVAC system that conditions fresh air introduced into each apartment, exceeding city energy efficiency standards by almost 40 percent. The structure is also linked to an existing blackwater treatment plant, which recycles water from bathrooms and kitchens to re-supply toilets and provide make-up water for the HVAC system cooling tower. The building harvests rainwater and stores 10,000 gallons of recycled water for irrigation for the “green” rooftop garden, which, in turn, provides a layer of insulation for the building.
