The project above is a great example of the firm’s talent and expertise. It serves as the new area office for the California Highway Patrol. For this project, the firm’s team built on an administrative office building, an auto service building, and a waste and recycling building.


Indigo | Hammond + Playle Architects, LLP

HMR Architects, Inc.

HMR Architects’ history dates all the way back to 1935 when Herb Goodpaster first established an architecture office in Sacramento before transferring ownership to George Higgins in 1949. In 1982, Eric Mifkovic became the firm’s president. Currently, the firm is led by Scott Pullen; he has been with the company for a significant amount of time. He holds a degree from UC Berkeley and makes sure that all of the firm’s projects receive the benefit of his experience. Under his leadership, the firm has become one of the area’s best and leading architectural firms. It specializes in higher education facilities, commercial developments, and mixed-use spaces.
