Completed for BAC Concord, this commercial project spans nearly 3,000 square feet and entailed an extensive tenant improvement. Some of its primary features include a custom-designed and built ceiling system, great interior finishes, and modern touches. This project won the company the Design Citation Award from the American Institute of Architects Sierra Valley.

Those projects include police and fire stations, courthouses, community centers, healthcare spaces, and office buildings. The firm’s portfolio also contains multiple custom residential, wineries, and religious projects. Since its establishment, the firm has had the honor of winning numerous accolades. The project above is a great example of the firm’s talent and expertise. It serves as the new area office for the California Highway Patrol. For this project, the firm’s team built on an administrative office building, an auto service building, and a waste and recycling building.

Indigo | Hammond + Playle Architects, LLP

With over five decades of industry experience, Indigo offers a complete range of architecture services and is respected for its commitment to sustainable practices. The Indigo team is known for natural light and ventilation, energy-storing, and the use of environmentally friendly materials. For this project, the company’s team worked on a pre-manufactured steel shell for fast track low-cost construction, a splayed kennel design to minimize acoustic and visual stress to animals, and great mechanical systems.

VMI Architecture

HMR Architects, Inc.

2130 21st Street, Sacramento, CA 95818

HMR Architects’ history dates all the way back to 1935 when Herb Goodpaster first established an architecture office in Sacramento before transferring ownership to George Higgins in 1949. In 1982, Eric Mifkovic became the firm’s president. Currently, the firm is led by Scott Pullen; he has been with the company for a significant amount of time. He holds a degree from UC Berkeley and makes sure that all of the firm’s projects receive the benefit of his experience. Under his leadership, the firm has become one of the area’s best and leading architectural firms. It specializes in higher education facilities, commercial developments, and mixed-use spaces.
