This big, cutting-edge project offers a sleek design that includes a state-of-the-art dance fitness studio on the ground floor, as well as a gym, store space, juice bar, and four floors of personal training areas.

Shulman + Associates

Some structures dated back to the 1920s, and others were from the 1930s, prompting the firm to preserve their original characteristics. The new design combined focused historical restoration with modern repairs and preservationist efforts.

Showcased here is one example of a project completed by Zyscovich. The interior of this project, Ristorante Sardinia, features a modern and warm design, giving the space a comfortable luxury. Rich woods and brickwork remind guests of a city’s osteria, trattoria, or enoteca, while the earthy colors of the brick, stone, and tile are brightened by the many windows and the furniture layout. This layout makes it easy to eat at the restaurant without feeling crowded, but still feeling connected and close.

In this featured project, MODIS Architects was tasked with renovating the front of an old 420,000 square-foot power shopping center, which was 2,100 linear feet and cost $2.9 million. The project included a significant facade makeover of 1,700 linear feet of the complex that included seven critical businesses—Michaels, TJ Maxx, Office Depot, Ross, Party City, Ulta, and Discovery—as well as small retail outer faces and outdoor shared areas.
