We all know that restaurants play a significant role in our lives. The food, the ambiance, and the atmosphere are all major components that make a successful restaurant. However, it is important to know how to resonate with your customers through your branding and the type of service you intend to provide. Cafes, fast food chains, and independent restaurants: the design, floor plan, and furnishing all contribute to the success of the eatery as much as the food it serves. The best restaurant contractors on this list have the experience to provide an array of services that include new construction, tenant improvements, and remodels.

The editors created this list of the top five restaurant contractors after looking into their experience, portfolio, and accolades.

Hilbers Inc.

1104 Corporate Way, Suite 204, Sacramento, CA 95831

Kurt Hilbers is the president of Hilbers Inc. Hilbers has been leading the firm since 1983, and today, the firm is earning around $115 million annually. This exponential growth is a result of the various clients the firm has worked for. These clients include Cracker Barrel, Olive Garden, Krispy Kreme, Dunkin Donuts, Chipotle, and Starbucks. In addition to working for these clients, the firm has made the top 15 list for Northern California Commercial General Contractors while receiving the 2020 AIA San Mateo County Design Award. The project below is one of the firm’s best featuring the new restaurant construction of Panera Bread in Yuba City. Panera Bread has over 2,00 bakeries throughout the U.S. and Canada which made this project an important one for the firm. The restaurant has a total size of 4,457 square feet and glass windows surrounding the restaurant.

The project below is the 99 Ranch Market. The establishment has a total size of 38,000 square feet and holds a restaurant called Gourmet Fresh. The featured project was produced for Mendocino Farms. The restaurant has a vibrant exterior and interior design. The use of white in its furniture and walls complement the grass-looking walls in the corner of the restaurant and the rope-designed ceiling lamps. The mosaic designs in the flooring complete the effect. The overall ambiance resembles a modern restaurant with a homey atmosphere.
