Headquartered in Milpitas, XL Construction Corporation assists its clients throughout the entire process and is well-respected in the industry for its comprehensive methods and approaches. The firm completes all of its spaces on time and within the agreed-upon budget. The firm takes strong safety measures before starting any build. Emphasizing the importance of close collaboration between contractor and client, XL utilizes only the latest techniques, including BIM. The company’s portfolio showcases a wide range of civic, corporate office, education, healthcare, and life science projects. It spans over 47,000 square feet of office space, in addition to 5,200 square feet of retail areas. It also has its own rooftop garden, high-speed elevators, and car stackers.

Servicing the greater San Francisco Bay area, Skyline Construction is an employee-owned firm that specializes in working on corporate office interiors. The firm is a part of a family of construction companies that have serviced a variety of areas throughout the country and it is well-known for its team’s talents and expertise. The Skyline team has transformed various spaces into dynamic and unique offices, and it has received numerous recognitions. The firm has been in the industry since 1996 and is also proud to be a woman-led enterprise. As you look through its portfolio you’ll notice the firm has completed projects in the healthcare, financial, and retail sectors. The firm has also worked on a variety of headquarters.

Our editorial team loved this office space completed for Gibson Dunn, a prominent law firm. The company was tasked with working on both of its locations in San Francisco and Palo Alto. Each project was completed just within four weeks of each other and was designed in collaboration with the professionals over at Gensler. Some of its great elements include an excellent reception area, a staircase with a custom glass handrail, and a two-level Venetian plaster wall.

SC Builders

Having completed over 2,000 projects since its inception, SC Builders offers its clients a complete and comprehensive range of general contracting services. It operates out of its headquarters in Sunnyvale and takes great pride in its over 87% repeat clientele rate. The company is committed to the green building movement and infuses various sustainability practices into its spaces. The firm has been in business since 1999 and has had the opportunity to work on some of the best projects throughout Silicon Valley and the San Francisco area. Showcased below is one of the firm’s projects.

Completed for Slack, this project was completed in San Francisco. It now serves as the company’s headquarters; the project entailed over ten floors. The project features excellent high-end finishes, millwork, and artistic plaster. Some other great elements which we loved include its barista barm, library, and moss walls.

Build Group

The Build Group operates out of several offices in California, particularly, San Francisco, Santa Clara, Oakland, and Venice. It also has an office in Seattle and offers its clients a complete range of industry services. The firm is composed of a talented and experienced team of professionals and adheres to the highest industry standards. In terms of design, the firm’s portfolio includes a wide range of spaces rendered in a variety of architectural vernaculars.

The depicted project was completed in 2014 for the Joie de Vivre Hotels. Although it’s a hospitality structure, the project also entailed having to work on its lobby, work lounge, and various other office spaces. Our editorial team loved its reinforced concrete walls, collector beams, and retrofitted touches.

Novo Construction

NOVO Construction operates out of three offices located in Menlo Park, San Francisco, and Austin. The firm has been around since 2000 and it has had the privilege of working on some of the best projects in the Bay Area. Specializing in small to large-scale build-outs, NOVO showcases a deep understanding of Menlo Park’s most popular architectural vernaculars, and it has secured long-standing relationships with countless customers for the greater part of two decades. It describes its approach as similar to that of a “boutique” firm, assuring clients that it personalizes and caters its methods for each project it takes on.

This featured project was completed for Foundation Capital. The 7,300-square-foot space entailed various custom high-end finishes, new offices, and a break room. Our editorial team loved its galley, library, and pavilion.

The South Bay team worked on over 33,000 square feet of space and provided various high-end finishes. Some other great elements include new ceilings, floors, partitions, and fixtures.
