A good office design is an important investment for any business looking to increase productivity, retain employees, reduce stress, and attract new talent. However, it can be difficult to find an experienced architect that is well-versed in workplace design or refurbishment that fosters collaboration and creativity.

To help you choose the right designer equipped to handle your building needs, our team has listed the best office architects in Anaheim, California. These firms were selected for their accreditations, certifications, and professional affiliations. We also considered the recognition each firm has received in the form of industry awards, client reviews, and press features. We have laid out the range of services these firms offer, their specializations, and the length of time they have been in the industry.

Withee Malcolm Architects

2251 W 190th Street, Torrance, CA 90504

Accredited by the Tilt-Up Concrete Association, Withee Malcolm Architects uses its prowess in planning, architecture, and interior design to provide clients informed and responsive service. In addition to architectural design, the firm can assist in construction documentation, sustainability analysis, government agency coordination, and code upgrading. The firm’s work on urban infill housing, commercial, industrial, and hospitality projects led to a Gold Nugget Award at the Pacific Coast Builders Conference (PCBC).

Jeffrey S. Lemler, the Director of Commercial Architecture, has extensive knowledge of codes and city processes which has been advantageous for corporate office, R&D, manufacturing, warehouse, and industrial clients. He is a member of the Building Owners and Managers Association, and his leadership has enabled challenging commercial projects to achieve certification from the Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED). Meanwhile, Director of Architecture Dirk Thelen accomplished early training in construction technology and has since amassed more than 40 years of experience with a broad range of projects encompassing affordable, set-aside, and alternative-delivery housing. Working as an integrated team, Lemler and Thelen have made Withee Malcolm Architects widely admired for their client-centered approach and innovative design solutions.

This new medical office building in Brea, California’s Central Park Village is a sample of Withee Malcolm Architects’s capabilities. Set back and stepped up from the street, the building maintains a presence on Central Avenue and connects to a convenient parking garage at the rear. Intersecting the glass and metal panel façade, a bright orange plane acts as a billboard for both the medical offices and the larger community.

NAC

837 N Spring Street, Third Floor, Los Angeles, CA 90012

Certified by the International Interior Design Association, NAC Architecture is a design firm with over 170 architects, engineers, interior designers, and support staff. The firm has offices in Spokane, Seattle, and Los Angeles and provides architecture, planning, electrical engineering, interior design, and capital facilities consulting. Its inclusive and community-oriented design approach has allowed NAC to earn multiple awards from the American Institute of Architects (AIA) and the Association for Learning Environments.

President and CEO Dana L. Harbaugh is a member of the AIA and a LEED Accredited Professional. She draws on more than 25 years of experience in leading the design team on educational buildings, residential halls, senior housing, wellness projects, medical offices, and commercial buildings.

That list includes NAC Architecture’s Los Angeles office. Organized into a tidy five-by-nine grid, each cell is defined by a unique color, and within each color, a distinct program. Woven into the grid of a structured program is a network of circulation and “in-between” spaces, maximized to allow users to claim space as their own. The exterior patio can house a temporary art exhibit open to the public.

SPF:architects

8609 Washington Boulevard, Los Angeles, CA 90232

SPF:architects (SPF:a) enriches lives and communities through the design of small- and large-scale commercial and residential architecture in the public and private sectors. Founder and Principal Zoltan E. Pali was elevated into the College of Fellows of the AIA for his outstanding contributions to the field of architecture. He has won over 80 national and regional design awards for custom-built single-residencies, large civic infrastructures, and commercial buildings. He has led SPF:a in meeting clients’ goals and investments, as well as designing a large number of corporate offices including SPF:a’s own headquarters.

That building holds the firm’s design studio, a global modeling agency, a co-working space, and the SPF:a Gallery. The façade reflects the variation, movement, velocity, and tempo of Culver City. Black and white Nordic Cement Panels were installed, which protrude at various depths and serve as a rain screen, additional insulation, and provide a 340-foot acoustic diffuser to Washington Avenue. The project was recognized with an American Architecture Award and AIA Citation and Merit Awards.

This office space for Modi is an outstanding representative of WHA’s long portfolio of commercial projects.
