The following list discusses Rhode Island’s top tier kitchen remodeling contractors. Firms on the list were ranked based primarily on the quality of their kitchen project portfolios, but we also looked company histories, the number and prestige of awards received, the certifications and accreditations earned, and had a good look at client reviews.

Companies on this list range from dedicated kitchen remodelers to general contractors with a strong specialization in kitchen remodeling.

If you are thinking about doing a remodeling your kitchen, we recommend checking each builder’s license with the local licensing board, speaking to past clients, and using our bidding system to get competitive quotes from at least 3 contractors. Getting multiple bids is the best way to ensure you get a fair price and that bids include the complete scope of work.

Northeast Design + Build

2949 Hartford Ave. Johnston, RI 02919

Starting in construction in the nineties, President Michael Sarah found his niche in kitchen, bath, and home remodeling. After several years of referring his clients to local kitchen centers for their cabinet, countertop, and accessory needs, he opened Northeast Design + Build Kitchen and Flooring Center in 2011 so they could get the best quality work and products with one call. In-house certified kitchen designers and licensed and insured installation and construction crews work closely with project managers to make this efficiency possible.

This kitchen in East Greenwich is an example of that exceptional attention to detail. The large two-toned room includes a working island and a seating island, with ample space in between to move around. Quartz countertops line the prep spaces and white wood cabinets and tile backsplash frame the stainless steel appliances, creating a soft contrast with the powder blue walls. Glass chandeliers light up the eat-in space lined by damask chairs, with a view of the surrounding foliage through the windows. A bar area beside the fridge is fitted with a custom wine rack and goblet display cabinets.

Its co-founders have backgrounds in sales and in-home design and they use that experience in the planning and execution of each job they accept.

KCCNE is a member of the National Kitchen and Bath Association. Our selection from the firm’s portfolio combines features of a high-end luxury kitchen and a residential family space. The result is stylish, yet utterly practical.
