BCCI Construction

The project shown here was designed and completed for Bosch. Located in Sunnyvale, it is a state-of-the-art research and technology center that also serves as Bosch’s North American headquarters. The project spans over four stories and 104,000 square feet. Inside, it features research labs, workshops, garage space, administrative workspace, meeting rooms, wellness rooms, an all-hands area, game rooms, and music rooms.


XL Construction Corporation

Headquartered in Milpitas, XL Construction Corporation assists its clients closely throughout the entire construction process and is highly regarded for its comprehensive methods and approaches. It is noted for completing its projects on time and within budget. The firm is also well-respected for the safety measures it implements before starting any build. Emphasizing the importance of close collaboration between contractor and client, XL utilizes the latest techniques, including BIM. The project featured here was delivered via an MEP Design-Assist process. Located in San Mateo, it spans over 5,000 square feet and serves as a data center expansion for the United States Postal Service. For this project, the firm’s team had to add a water-side economizer and direct cooling to server racks utilizing the existing chiller and condenser water loops. They also had to design a sophisticated monitoring system to track its temperature.

Completed in collaboration with the professionals at Foster + Partners and HGA, the project featured here was designed for a data center in Cupertino. Its 25,000-square-foot basement level contains supportive space. The project also included a pre-action fire sprinkler system and mechanical components as well as two cooling towers, a frame heat exchanger, and a water system.


Hillhouse Commercial Construction Company, Inc.

The project is one out of only eight Net Zero-certified buildings in the U.S. that are qualified by the Department of Energy. Some of its most interesting elements include its operable windows and skylights, horizontal thermal masses, and passive ventilation.
