Hialeah experiences hot and humid summers and mild, dry winters. The city’s population requires spaces that can adapt to the changes in temperature throughout the year, whether it be the wet or dry season. Good insulation is usually a prerequisite for any building in the area, and contractors in charge need to know how to work with the best materials for that region into the structures they are building.

Our editorial team has carefully selected these firms for their experience, their knowledge of the area, and their keen eye for detail.

Dade Construction

12240 SW 131 Avenue, Miami, FL 33186

A lot of projects get started, yet not all are completed. The high cost of construction sometimes leaves buildings at the framing stage and business owners with a loss. The Dade Construction team works to ensure projects are built within budget and schedule. Clients are promised that their assets will be spent on building the business rather than poured into building the structure.

Without Dade Construction’s dedication, places like the Florida National University Dental Labs in Hialeah might not be ready for use. The dental lab for students was provided with new flooring, ceilings, and custom millwork. Various electrical modifications were made to the building to accommodate the equipment. Dade Construction has also brought office, restaurant, warehouse, education, and healthcare projects to completion in the last ten years.

Thornton Construction Company, Inc.

13290 NW 42 Avenue, Opa-Locka, FL 33054

The LPI Office Building was a ground-up construction of a 40,250-square-feet, four-story office building on a half-acre site. The full site development included a foundation system, civil and electrical systems, infrastructure paving, and landscaping. Due to poor soil, the area required deep excavation to seat the foundation. New soil was imported and Vibro compacted to achieve proper density. While the original owner has since been dissolved, Millennia Atlantic University has found a home in the building.

This office-turned-school is a project provided by the Thornton Construction Company. The firm’s 23 years of experience have allowed the firm to put together a team that creates the kind structures that have generated its impressive repeat customer base of 90%. The team follows a no-nonsense approach in working on difficult construction projects like international airports, healthcare facilities, and college systems. Special hiring needs, security concerns, and site cleanliness are all taken into account.
